A warning for trail users of the Blue Trail on Maple Mountain. When hiking in on the Blue trail from the Maple Bay side just before you get to the junction with the Pink trail there is a large underground wasp nest.
Please use caution in this area and a reminder if you or anyone is at risk to carry Benadryl or analgesic if you are at risk for anaphylaxis. Underground wasp nests are very common on Vancouver Island when the hotter temperatures arrive.
